Types Of Orofacial Pain

Trigeminal Neuralgia also known as 'Suicide Disease', affects the trigeminal nerve in the face with symptoms ranging from mild to severe facial pain triggered by chewing, speaking, or brushing teeth.

Myofacial Pain affects the muscles of the face which could be related to dental procedure trauma, fatigue, muscle spasms, etc.

Temperomandibular Joint Disorder arises from the TM joint and its muscles causing clicking and locking of the jawbone and restriction to its movements.

Migraines or headaches can also cause orofacial pain.

Burning Mouth Syndrome is a recurrent or ongoing burning in the mouth with no obvious cause.
